A key factor in JYSK’s success is our strong company culture, rooted in Lars Larsen’s entrepreneurial spirit and his practical, down-to-earth approach to business.
At JYSK, every employee has significant responsibilities. We value each other’s strengths and collaborate across all levels of the organisation. We have a strong corporate spirit, and are straight-forward and pragmatical.
Our culture is built on JYSK’s values, fostering a positive work environment where helpfulness, openness, honesty, and respect are paramount.
Everyone plays a role in maintaining this atmosphere. Each employee is encouraged to contribute to a positive work environment through their actions and behavior.
At the Head Office, our dress code is generally "Smart Casual." We expect employees to wear attire appropriate for interacting with suppliers and external guests around the office and in the canteen.
Please note that shorts and caps are not permitted during working hours.
Visible tattoos are acceptable, provided they are not offensive or of a discriminating nature.
JYSK offers flexible working hours within the following framework:
Flexible working hours are arranged between the manager and employee to ensure optimal task performance.
JYSK allows employees to work from home for up to two days a week, depending on their job and responsibilities. Working from home requires approval from your functional manager or Executive Vice President.
When working from home, you must be available as if you were in the office. This means you should be accessible by phone or email during working hours, unless otherwise noted in your calendar.
Working from home should be minimized for employees who:
If you are ill, you must notify your immediate superior as soon as possible on your first day of absence. Your immediate superior will handle the cancellation or rescheduling of any meetings involving you, and will inform relevant parties.
JYSK has a policy for managing absences due to illness to ensure a constructive dialogue. For more details on this policy, please refer to our Intranet, MYJYSK.
If your child is ill or injured and requires your presence, you are entitled to one day of leave to find alternative care. This leave applies only to children under 14 years of age living at home.
If you have been with JYSK for over 6 months, you will receive your full salary during this leave. If you have been with JYSK for less than 6 months, the day will be deducted from your next salary payment. Please ensure you notify your immediate superior of your absence.
