RETAIL DEVELOPMENT

The Retail Development department is responsible for the complete visual expression in the physical stores – we are focused on what our customers see when they visit a JYSK store. The responsibility of the Retail Development department is to develop and define how the stores should look by providing descriptions of all store elements, incl. fixtures, flooring, lighting etc., in the concept.

Driven by our store design strategy, our store design department creates layouts for 800 - 1.000 store projects yearly – on locations of very different sizes and shapes.   

WORKING IN THE RETAIL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

When working in the Retail Development department, your main goal is to create a familiar and cozy environment for our customers and inspire customers and show them how our furniture, homeware etc. could look in their own home.

Examples of tasks:

  • Develop and optimise conceptual manuals for the store staff and store fixtures solutions for attractive article presentation
  • Develop and define store design and layouts
  • Handle the purchase and distribution of all campaign and instore marketing articles
