ADVANCED ANALYTICS

The goal of the Advanced Analytics department is to enhance customer experiences, sales, and profitability with the assistance of analytical skills and innovative technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI). The department is responsible for supporting all service functions and countries across JYSK with analytical capabilities and is well-supported by a strategic focus on AI.

To achieve these objectives, Advanced Analytics works closely with stakeholders throughout the organisation to understand and align business data and needs with the appropriate expertise and technology. This involves engaging with various forms of AI, such as utilising machine learning for forecasting, implementing task automation, or enhancing capabilities with generative models and other AI tools.

The department utilises experimentation and rapid development as fundamental working principles. Every team member actively participates in knowledge sharing and dedicates time to continuous learning. We recognise that this approach is indispensable for maintaining a competitive edge in a constantly evolving world.

WORKING IN THE ADVANCED ANALYTICS DEPARTMENT

As a member of the Advanced Analytics team, you will collaborate with diverse individuals on various projects aimed at generating business value. Your daily responsibilities will primarily involve development, experimentation, and optimisation. Additionally, as projects mature, you'll play a crucial role in their seamless implementation into production.

In the dynamic field of AI, you'll need to adapt quickly and stay updated. You'll utilise a wide array of tools, including Python, R, GIS, KNIME, and cloud platforms. Much of your time will be dedicated to problem-solving, whether it's within your code or within a business context.

Examples of tasks and projects include:

  • Predicting sales using machine learning
  • Developing conversational AI solutions
  • Analysing and recommending store locations
  • Fine-tuning and evaluating existing models
  • Documentation
  • Communicating results to stakeholders
  • Conducting ad-hoc analyses
