Data Scientist

At JYSK, we are strengthening how we use AI to support data-driven decision-making, operational efficiency, and innovation across the organisation. We are now looking for a Data Scientist to join our AI department at our Head Office in Aarhus.

In this role, you will take ownership of delivering end-to-end AI/ML solutions – from understanding business needs and preparing data to developing models, deploying them into production, and maintaining them. Together with the rest of the AI team, you will help ensure that AI/ML solutions create measurable value for JYSK.

WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT

As a Data Scientist, you help ensure that AI/ML initiatives deliver measurable business value through your strong understanding of data and technical skill set. You are pragmatic and know how to balance speed and effort against the expected outcome in order to deliver solutions efficiently. You will work across the full lifecycle, from idea to production, on solutions that support a variety of business functions.

Your tasks and responsibilities in the role include:

• Building end-to-end AI/ML solutions, including data preparation, model development, evaluation and deployment

• Making pragmatic decisions on how much effort to invest in different parts of a solution and when to involve others in the decision-making process

• Designing, deploying and maintaining scalable data pipelines, inference pipelines, microservices and APIs

• Ensuring model and data quality through monitoring, retraining and continuous improvement

• Collaborating closely with Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Data Engineers and other stakeholders to translate business needs into effective solutions

• Providing technical support together with the AI team, following the principle “you build it, you own it”

• Actively contributing to shaping team standards and methods

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

You bring a pragmatic and curious mindset and a combination of data science and MLOps skills, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable AI/ML solutions.

We are looking for a new colleague who:

• Has at least 3 years of experience delivering solutions within AI, ML and Data Science (such as forecasting, NLP, classification, recommendation, or similar)

• Has strong Python and SQL skills, preferably with experience in CI/CD, version control, testing and modular design

• Has hands-on experience deploying and operating AI/ML solutions on cloud platforms, ideally with exposure to GCP

• Has a strong understanding of core ML algorithms, feature engineering and model evaluation

• Communicates clearly and works confidently with a wide range of stakeholders

• Is structured, proactive and solution-oriented in their way of working
