Senior Platform Engineer, Developer Experience

In this role, you will take technical ownership, design innovative solutions, and empower our internal development teams to deliver their best work. WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT
Your tasks and responsibilities in the job include:
- Building and maintaining internal developer tools, platforms, and frameworks that improve developer productivity and consistency
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation processes to reduce lead times and find errors early
- Collaborating with developers and operations teams to identify pain points and propose solutions
- Staying updated on upcoming technologies and proposing new ideas for our platforms
- Mentoring and collaborating with IT colleagues to share knowledge and foster continuous improvement
- Embrace and implement a “shift-left” mindset in a dynamic evolving landscape

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING
We are looking for a new colleague who:
- Has at least 5 years of experience within infrastructure or platform engineering
- Is experienced with infrastructure as code
- Has strong knowledge of operational disciplines and software lifecycle management
- Has experience with development processes and CI/CD tools
- Has practical experience with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, and tooling/self-service
- Is comfortable working in environments that combine legacy systems and new services, making pragmatic decision when needed
- Has great communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
- Can break down and prioritise large and complex tasks into smaller, actionable tasks
- Takes a proactive approach to improving solutions and challenging the status quo
