At JYSK, we are looking for an IT Operations Specialist to contribute to the continuous development and optimisation of IT solutions used across 29 countries. You will join a skilled and collaborative department where knowledge-sharing, responsibility and development are part of everyday life.

WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT
Our department supports all 29 JYSK countries and is responsible for maintaining our systems across the organisation – including backend servers. We collaborate closely with our 1st and 2nd line support teams and have no direct contact with stores.
The job mainly focuses on the administration of our Point of Sale (POS) solution and participation in major projects such as the ongoing replacement of our POS retail application. Technologies in use include JavaPOS, Java JRE, Oracle DB, MariaDB, PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Kubernetes, Grafana, and Splunk. Your will receive training and support to develop your skills in these areas.
Your tasks and responsibilities in the job include:
- Ensuring high uptime in our stores
- Optimising existing solutions
- Scripting for both minor and major tasks
- Providing technical support to our 1st and 2nd line support
- Collaboration with external vendors

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING
We are looking for a new colleague who:
- Has knowledge of both Windows 10 and Linux, as our client platform is Windows 10 and our server platform is Linux
- Brings experience with IT operations, preferably including scripting and automation
- Is a fast learner and a creative problem solver
- Is motivated to learn new technologies and take on new technical challenges
- Can manage both project assignments and smaller operational tasks
- Takes a collaborative and helpful approach when supporting colleagues in 1st and 2nd line functions
- Communicates fluently in both Danish and English, in writing and verbally
